Robert C. Zoretic, 81

Robert C. Zoretic, 81, of Lancaster, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of Thelma L. Rosneck Zoretic, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage this past April 25^th. Born in Fayette County, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Nellie Lewis Zoretic.

Robert had worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as the district manager for the Wheatland District, retiring in 1985 after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he taught at York Business College for 7 years.

He was a member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.

Robert was a member of the Conestoga Country Club, was an avid golfer and loved music. He was formerly a member of the Sertoma Club.  He was a real “people-person” who loved to laugh, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was a 1948 graduate of Duquesne University, where he majored in accounting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Richard C. married to Meg Zoretic of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 daughters: Kay married to Rod Barthe of Lititz, Maribeth married to Craig Hacker of Malvern, and Peggy Ashbey of Lancaster; and by 10 grandchildren. Robert is also survived by 2 sisters: Shirley Kutchman of Uniontown, PA, and Carole Vignali of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Harold Zoretic of Coral Springs, FL.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Erjavec.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St., Millersville, with a Christian Prayer Service at 7:15 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
