My name is Robert Burns Patterson — the man writen of here is my great uncle (for whom I am named). He died the day after my thirteenth birthday, so I never had the privilege to know him as an adult. From my recollection, Guncle (Great-Uncle) Burns was a joyous and caring man. Rest in piece.

I am sorry to learn of the loss of Burns to his close and warm family. He was my father’s first cousin and although I only met him twice I found him and his whole family warm and friendly. _ William Remington Patterson, Jr.
