Rita Lazos, 81

October 15, 2014

Rita Lazos, 81, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.
She was the wife of the late Constantine Lazos, who passed away in January 1994. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Yolanda (Zuccaro) Tomei.
Rita had worked as a clerk and administrative assistant for 20 years for Vineland Electric Utility Company prior to retiring, but her favorite occupation was as wife and homemaker. She was active in the PTA, as a girl scout leader, and a swim team mom.
She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lancaster, and formerly a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vineland where she often volunteered her time and energy, especially at the school.
She loved going to the movies, and out for lunch. She appreciated a good cup of coffee and conversation. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Pam Lazos, married to Scott Eberly of Lancaster, and Stacey Lazos of Boca Raton, FL; her 3 grandchildren Morgan, Ian, and Arianna, and by her sister, Deva Mastrogostino.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Vincent Tomei.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 10:30-11AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA, with Mass to follow at 11AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Rita’s memory to hospiceforallseasons.org

Dear Rita ‘s Family,  I met your dear mother when I was a patient at Pleasant View.  She always was so friendly when we got together on the porch.  When I looked in her room, there was that sweet smile.  I am so glad I met her.  Sincerely, Anna Mae Barto
