Condolences to the Family

Dear Peggy and extended family, I was saddened to hear of Dicks passing from our classmate Rodger Wichterman at P.C. and share and  in your loss of an old friend and classmate 1948-1958. What a great picture of Dick above, that captures his sunny disposition and hearty laugh. He managed our soccer team during our junior and senior years, always could be counted on for cheerleading and injury repairs, a true team player. His love of singing goes way back to before our voices changed and we were in the junior chorus as altos and supranos that joined the senior chorus, under the direction of Dr McClarey, for a Christmas concert at the Philadelphia Academy of Music, in 1953. A few of many fond memories of a life well lived with a smile and a song, RIP old friend.

Dick was my older cousin. We were 2 of 10 cousins that have fond memories of our family get togethers with our fathers doing dishes and laughing loudly from the kitchen while we cousins prepared for some kind of show. Dick was a laugh leader for the rest of us as he had an infectious laugh and a ready joke to share. I will miss him and his stature within our cousins group now only 8 strong. How lucky I have been to be a member of this family.  Rich Hill
