Richard J. “The Duke” Yench, 69

Richard J. “The Duke” Yench, 69, of Lititz, PA and formerly of Queens, NY, died Monday, May 30, 2016 in his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of Daniel Anthony Yench of Lititz, and formerly of Brooklyn.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #7336 in Queens.
Duke enjoyed boating, betting on the horses at the track, and spending time with friends at the VFW post.
In addition to his father, he is survived by 2 brothers: Robert A. and his wife Joan of SC and Ronald P. and his wife Angie of AZ; a sister, Patricia Jakobsen and her husband John of Lititz, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave, Glendale, NY. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the funeral home, and again one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
