Richard A. LaBruto, 67

Richard A. LaBruto, 67, of Mount Joy, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Anthony and Mary (Dispensiere) LaBruto. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia (Wenzel) LaBruto, to whom he was married 41 years.

He previously worked as a Detective for the Police Department in Newark, NJ. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 12 in New Jersey. Richard enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Virginia, is a daughter, Lisa M. Montalbano, wife of Michael, of Parsippany, NJ, son Michael G. LaBruto, husband of Diane, of Morgantown, brother Steven LaBruto, husband of Patricia, of Rahway, NJ, step-mother Evelyn LaBruto, of Lake Mary, FL, and three grandchildren, Lauren, Jonathan and Andrew.

A Memorial Service will be held at (12 Noon on Saturday, July 20, 2013) at Hopewell Christian Fellowship Church, 2286 Hopewell Rd Elverson, PA 19520 with Pastor John Szymanski officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Richard’s memory to Aseracare Hospice, 315 Primrose Lane Suite 101, Mountville, PA 17554.

To the LaBruto Family. My deepest condolences on the passing of Richie. Although I never worked with Richie I knew him from his time with the Detective Bureau.
