Mr. Fleckenstein,
Such a wonderful man with an infectious smile. For those who didn’t know him, he’d take anyone under his arm and help you. He was not one to listen to reply (interrupting you), rather he listened to understand. Mr. Fleckenstein, I know you are at, and you’ll be used to positively impact other’s. Will miss you sitting in your normal spot. Love you!

It is with great sadness that all of us at the Ephrata Cloister mourn the passing of Richard. His impact on this historic site is immeasurable. Richard’s wisdom and insight and his passion for the Cloister led to the creation of the Museum Store and countless programs that followed during his tenure there. We are grateful for the lasting legacy he has created for a place he loved so dearly.
With sympathy, The Ephrata Cloister Associates and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission
