Condolences to the Family

September 24, 2023

My condolences to Linda for a great loss of a great husband, friend, pastor, servant and father. Teo raised the lives of many families, raised many churches and did a lot of work for those most in need. He crossed and opened paths and always said “Oh Lord, Thank you for your faithfulness.” I am one of his spiritual children, perhaps the smallest and most deprived of all, but Teo took me and made me great and strong in the power of the Lord. I must have managed to build a powerful ministry for those most in need. We honor you Teo as the green spiritual father that God gave us.

It was my joy to serve on the same mission field as Ted for 15 years. He was a model for me as a missionary. The way he lived deeply from the presence of the Lord was stirring and encouraging. Missionaries can fall into patterns of “business as usual” after years of service.  Ted always came fresh from encounter with the Spirit into his missional work. He was a Barnabas or “son of encouragement” whereever he was. I miss the conversations that were always seasoned with a mixture of joy and insight. Thanks, dear brother, Ted, for accompanying so many of us on the way of the “burning heart” (Luke 24:32). Frank Hankins
