Raymond F. “Motts” Myers, 88

Raymond F. “Motts” Myers, 88, of Lititz, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy J. Myers who died in 2010.

Born in Lititz, he was a son of the late Gilbert G. and Grace (Frederick) Myers.

Motts worked for Woodstream in Lititz for many years. He loved to hunt, travel and frequent sporting events, especially Warwick High events and Penn State football.

He is survived by his children: Vickie, wife of Ronald Hossler, Rick, husband of Dee Myers and Sharon, wife of James Hollinger; a brother, Gilbert Myers of Lititz and a sister, Phylliss King of Manheim. He will be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sisters: Dorothy Kline, Ruth White, Barbara Felker, Vivian Wettig and Romaine Young; and a brother, Robert Myers.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation from 6-8pm on Friday, January 18th and from 9 – 10am on Saturday, January 19th at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad Street, Lititz. A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place on Saturday, January 19th at 10 am at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Machpelah Cemetery in Lititz.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the United Zion Retirement Community for the wonderful care they provided for our father, while under their care. Also, to hospice for their wonderful support during his care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.

Loosing a dad is so hard but I know he fought a good fight. He can now rest in peach with his lovely wife. My thoughs and prayers go out to you and hope you will find peace as he has. We are sorry we missed the service. Warmest Sympathy.

So sorry to hear of Motts passing. He and my dad Lester were such good friends for so many years. We extend  our deepest sympathy to Vicki, Rick, and Sharon and their families. It is hard to lose a dad.
