Ralph V. Ciccone, 82

Ralph V. Ciccone, 82, of Lancaster, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County on Good Drive. He was the husband of Hazel I. Shuman Ciccone for 26 years. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John P. and Margaret Wilfong Ciccone.

Ralph started working at General Cigar Co., Inc. in 1953 and retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corp. in 1992 as assistant plant manager. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #34 in Lancaster. He enjoyed visiting Florida in the winter, woodworking, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay when at his cottage in Crystal Beach, MD.

In addition to his wife Hazel, Ralph is survived by two children, Kim Ciccone and John E., husband of Sharon Ciccone, of Lancaster; three stepchildren, John, husband of Tina Alexander of Lampeter, William F. “Fred”, husband of Patricia Horn, of Lewes, DE and Jennifer Horn of Ephrata; 1 grandson, 8 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and 12 step-great-grandchildren; and his sisters Shirley Sharrow and Patricia Redman of Earleville, MD. His son Ralph V. Ciccone, Jr. and brother John P. Ciccone, Jr. “Skip” preceded Ralph in death.

A Visitation will take place from 2:30 to 3 PM, with the Memorial Service to follow at 3 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. The Rev. Dr. Winfield Devonshire, Jr. will officiate. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
