What a man. 22nd District Philly with partner Bobby Ingram; of enormous help to me building the evidence against a serial offender and killer, tireless and cheerful in his duties. Put the bastard on death row. Made me a better man. God bless Pete.

Dearest Lori,
My heart was broken and saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved husband, Peter. Growing up with you in Plainview NY, and knowing what a lovely and beautiful woman you have become, tells me what a truly wonderful man Peter must have been. It is my great loss never to have met him.
Jay and I are praying for both you and Peter and send you our unconditional love across the miles from California.
Heaven is a happier place today. Peter is with God and the angels.
Love,
Dorothy Simmons

Pete was an inspiration to many and a good, dear, and special man.  I worked with him for several years at Lancaster County Prison and was more than proud to call him my teacher and my friend.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but we can all consider ourselves blessed and richer for our experiences with him.  Take heart and know that God welcomed Pete home and he is now watching over us.  Bless you.

Pete, a man who was like a father to me, a man I loved dearly.  I cannot believe that this is real.  I was just with you the weekend before you left us and you had such high hopes for the future.  You and Lori have made such an impact on my life and I miss you so much already.  I look at your pictures everyday; I cry of sadness and I cry of joy from the memories.  You will always have a piece of my heart!  And Lori, I love you dearly as well and whatever you need, I will be there for you!

My sorrows for your troubles. Pete was an inspiration to many while he worked as a Correctional Officer at Lancaster County Prison. Leading by example. He would drop everything to help out a co-worker.
I had the pleasure of serving with him. I will remember him for his sense of humor, chivalry & humanity.
My strength & sorrows to your family.
