Patrick Anthony “Pat” Turano, 60
June 21, 2025
Patrick Anthony “Pat” Turano, 60, of Lititz, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at John Hopkins Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Vittoria (Mazzaro) Turano.
Pat was a proud retired NYPD Police Officer, having served 17 dedicated years with the department at the 68th Precinct, where he was affectionately known as the “Mayor of Bay Ridge.” Before joining the NYPD, Pat honorably served in the U.S. Navy, where he traveled the world and even boxed during his time in service. After retiring from law enforcement, Pat continued working hard at Lancaster County Motors until his passing. He was known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand. Pat was full of life and loved being active. He enjoyed playing cornhole and competed in several tournaments. He also loved bowling, playing beach volleyball, and participating in Fantasy Football leagues. A lifelong Yankees fan, he was a kid at heart—always up for a trip to the arcade or a theme park. He also enjoyed cooking and baking, often sharing his creations with loved ones. Above all, Pat loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, with whom he treasured every moment. He will be remembered for his kind heart, joyful spirit, and unwavering dedication to those around him.
He is survived by his life-long companion, Jennifer Turano; his children, Anthony (Udette) Turano, Melissa Turano, Stephanie Turano, and Samantha Turano; his grandchildren, Olivia, Julian, Josiah, Mariah, Henry, and Isabel; his sisters, Rose Savallo and Teresa Turano; and many extended family.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 4PM to 8PM at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends and family will be received for additional hours of visitation on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 9AM to 11AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 501 E Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church beginning at 11AM. Burial will take place at Witness Park Cemetery in Lititz.

My deepest condolences to The Turano family. I have known Patty since 1991. When I was working in a bank and I met him through his dad, Mr Turano. Who was also such an amazing man. Then when I met my now husband who was also a NYPD police officer working in the same precinct as Patty. He would always joke around and telling my husband i’m gonna tell Victoria everything you’re doing, but he would never say a word, he had an amazing sense of humor which I know a lot of is family and friends are gonna miss.
Over the years, we did lose contact after the he retired. But then, when social media became available, we reconnected. We had so many great memories that we talked about and laughs. We used to be on the bowling league together. I remember when his wife Jennifer was pregnant with Samantha, his daughter. What an amazing time that was for him. He was so thrilled. He was the type of friend no matter how long it was, she could pick up the phone. Feel like like you just talked 5 seconds ago.
He was truly an amazing person. He would be greatly missed by it. So many of his old friends, anne colleagues from the NYPD .
Rest in eternal peace My old friend. Also again, our sincerest condolences, so is family.
Love Frank ,Victoria ,Amanda, Frank Jr and Nicholas Perna 💙💙💙💙💙💙
