Patricia J. Kriner, 59
Patricia J. Kriner, 59, of Lancaster, died at the Hospice of Lancaster County Mount Joy Unit on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, following a courageous four year battle with cancer. She was the wife David A. Kriner for 20 years. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late James H. and M. Madeline Rider Wiser.
Patricia graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1969, and earned her associates degree from HACC. She worked as a teachers aide for the IU-13 for five years and then as a medical technician at St. Joseph Hospital for 20 years. A member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Patricia served as an extraordinary minister involved with prayer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Curtis J. and John M. Kriner, both at home; two sisters, Linda, wife of Gilbert Childs of Lancaster and Mary Wiser of Willow Street; three brothers, James, husband of Barbara Wiser of Willow Street, Paul Wiser of Lancaster and Larry, husband of Joanne Wiser of Centerville. Her sister Ann Callihan and brothers David and Guy Wiser preceded Patricia in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Duke and Liberty Streets, Lancaster, PA, with The Reverend Norman C. Hohenwarter as Celebrant. Final Commendation and Farewell in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. There will be no viewing on Saturday.
