Panagiotis E. “Pete” Iliadis, 88

Panagiotis E. “Pete” Iliadis, 88, of Millersville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his home.
He was the husband of Mersini Vougamalis Iliadis, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage this past October 6th. Born in Kalloni, Greece, Panagiotis was the son of the late Emmanuel and Kaliopi Tragelis Iliadis.
Panagiotis had worked in the foundries for the steel division of Rockwell International. He had also worked at the House of Pizza in Millersville.
He enjoyed gardening, singing, and telling stories. His family was his greatest treasure and he loved spending time with them.
Panagiotis was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, both of Lancaster: Kaliopi “Kali” married to Michael Karomfily and Evangeline “Angie” married to David Hessen; his four granddaughters Marissa, Christina, and Joanna Karomfily and Abigail “Panayiota” Hessen, and his brothers Dimitrios and Ioannis Iliadis, and a host of family and friends whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Tzoanou.
Panagiotis’ family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who provided compassionate care over the years.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 from 9:30-11AM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11AM. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Panagiotis’ memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at the above address.
