Pamela Alynn Snader, 70
June 09, 2025
Pamela Alynn Snader, 70, of Landisville, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia after a long illness.
Born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Pam was the daughter of the late A. Paul and Kathryn G. Snader. She graduated from Hempfield High School and spent her life rooted in the community she loved.
Pam is survived by her sister, Deborah A. Young, and her brothers, Abram P. Snader, Jr. and Douglas A. Snader. She was preceded in death by her brother, Terrance Snader. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews: S. Dominic Lau, Rhianna L. Lau, Tarra Snader, Alan Snader, Heather Funke, Danielle Snader, and Ashley Lutz, as well as two nephews of the heart, Patrick French and Benjamin French. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering.
Professionally, Pam was a respected and long-serving member of Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. (BCI), Lancaster Division, where she worked for 34 years. At the time of her retirement in 2020, she held the position of Controller and led Human Resources and IT. Pam was known as a thoughtful leader and a trusted business partner throughout her career.
Earlier in her career, she worked for K-Mart Corporation at various locations, including the Lincoln Highway and Elizabethtown stores.
Pam’s commitment to community service was a defining part of her life. She served as a volunteer with the Hempfield Community Ambulance Association for over 25 years, beginning in 1976. Her roles included EMT Crew Chief and Executive Board Member. She also gave her time to the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Hospice, and other local causes.
Quietly generous, Pam was a behind-the-scenes donor to many charitable organizations, especially local food pantries. She gave freely and without fanfare.
Pam will be remembered for her warm hugs, infectious laughter, and ever-positive spirit. Known affectionately by many as “The AP,” she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
There will be a visitation and sharing time from 1 pm to 3 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.
