Olympia (Lambros) Kauffman, 86, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Monday, April 27, 2015 at Country Meadows.
Born in Reading, she was the devoted wife of Ronald Kauffman of Lancaster, and the daughter of the late Costas and Helen (Ganikon) Lambros.
A very loving mother and grandmother, Olympia was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she volunteered for the annual church bazaar and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Philoptochos Society, and volunteered with the Manheim Township Ambulance Association.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by 4 children: Eileen M. Howells and her companion Edward Clement of Millersville; Barbara A. Myers and her husband Marty of Clarks Summit; Michael Kauffman and his husband Craig McGinley of Lancaster; and Connie Goebel and her husband Scott of Lititz; and 5 grandchildren: Alexis, Rachel, Jordan, Becca, and Matthew. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Lambros.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 with the Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the church, with the Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 PM. Family and friends will also be received at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
