I got the pleasure to see Nina many times to (not to her pleasure) draw her blood. From the first time I Met her we just clicked! I always introduced her to anyone I was training as “my favorite patient ever”. I used to purposely start my days early when I knew I would see her because I knew we would get talking and neither of us knew how to cut it short! I used to intentionally take pictures of my girls to bring in to show her and she never would disappoint me by remembering what I told her the time before what was going on! She always wanted an update and even though she never met my kids before she wanted to know how my oldest lacrosse was going and how my youngest dance recital went. I have only met a few of her kids in passing very quickly maybe once but she always talked about all of you so I felt like I knew you! She told me many stories about her grandkids and great grandkids and she always would crack me up by her stubbornness and how much she missed driving even though we agreed that we both hated dealing with traffic. Her love for her sisters was the thing I admired the most and will never forget her saying “we all had to bring a box of tissues to our lunches because we would laugh so much we would cry and I’m pretty sure we got kicked out of a restaurant before for laughing too much!” I could go on what I will miss about our talks and our brief mornings together but please know that Nina has touched hearts of people she only would see every so often and will be greatly missed! She was so proud of all of her family and loved talking about you all!
You all will be in my prayers! As Nina would say “Catch ya on the flip side hun!”

Lois was such a blessing to our family. She was the “leader of the pack,” and such a good mentor to her younger sisters. She accomplished so many things in her lifetime, and her family will miss her presence. Lois was so upbeat, even in these turbulent times, and I will miss her tremendously. Good-bye, dear sister, until we meet again. Thanks again for all the memories.
