Nicki Brown-Muniz, 40

Nicki Brown-Muniz, 40, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle of renal disease on Saturday, June 1, 2013.  She was diagnosed at age 13, outliving most.  She was the longest surviving dialysis patient of Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Georgine Brown and John Gant; Clinton Myer, biological father.  She was married to Brian Muniz.

In addition to her husband and parents, Nicki will lovingly be missed by 7 sisters and 5 brothers; maternal grandmother, Carrie E. Schockley and paternal grandmother, Dolores Stewart; many nieces and nephews; 1 great-nephew; extend family and caring friends; and her beloved dog, Gino. Nicki was preceded in death by a son, Abdullah Muniz, and 2 sisters.

A Traditional Muslim Ceremony will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.  Interment will be held at Manheim Fairview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anika Brown-Muniz Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
