Natalie Ann Destafano, 92

Natalie Ann Destafano passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Luther Acres, Lititz, PA, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph J. Destafano in 1973, two brothers, Paul T. Dixon and Hugh G. Dixon, and grandson Vaughn K. Sauder.
Natalie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Earnest Paul Dixon and Geneva Seiler Dixon. She grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, graduating from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1941. She met her husband when he was stationed in Ft. Lauderdale, FL during WWII, coming to Lancaster County in 1944. She was a homemaker and a Girl Scout leader who enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, being an LCHS band supporter, baking and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Natalie was an active member of Happy Hearts of Lancaster and St Mary’s Catholic Church for more than 60 years.
Natalie is survived by her brother, Mark Dixon, Lubbock, TX; her children, Kathryn Archer (Robert), Centerville, MA; Dorothy Sauder (William), Gainesville, VA; Alice Pinto (Manuel), Lititz, PA; David Destafano (Cindy), Conestoga, PA: her grandchildren, Christopher Sauder, Jennifer, Matthew, and Kate Destafano; and great-grandchildren, Miranda, MacKenzie, and Mason Sauder.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10-11AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM, the Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Natalie’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church at the above address of to the Lancaster Catholic High School (Endowment Fund), 630 Juliette Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
