September 08, 2013
Nancy Lorraine Schnader, 82, of Lancaster, died at home on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Helen May (Smithson) and Roscoe Schnader. Her hobbies included singing, piano playing, and following professional tennis, a sport she enjoyed playing herself. On holidays, she was the queen of bingo and always brought coveted prizes. She had a great zeal for politics and most admired Jimmy Carter. Nancy loved her family, friends, and her two dogs, Bark and Rosette. Nancy kept her faith in God.
Nancy is survived by a son, Jere R. Flick, and his wife Karen, of East Petersburg, and two granddaughters, Elyse and Rita. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by sister Doris M. Myers, and brothers Donald Van Schnader and Walter Roscoe Schnader.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11AM, with a visitation preceding the service from 10-11AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA 17602, with Rev. Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. Interment will be at Woodward Hill Cemetery.

My name is Zoee & i’m a westie. I belong to Fran (Becker/Urban). Nancy was a true dog lover. Whenever I would visit my Grandma & Grandpa Becker their dog Sadie would take me over to Nancy’s and she would always have a treat for us. She would invite us into her house to sniff around & we would sit on the pourch with her for a little while then go back to Grandma’s. I will miss her.

I was shocked when my mom called me to try and tell me what happened. Jere, your mom will be missed especially by my mother Rosemary Becker who still is in denial. Nancy was a great neighbor and we had alot of fun with her at Connie’s house at Easter. My sincere condolence to you Jere.
Your Friend,
Fran Urban
