Nancy will be greatly missed. She was always so nice to everybody and so supportive of Earl while at Hempfield. We first met her through your Dad, as it was Earl who hired me to work at Hempfield. She always remembered to ask about our family and had a kind and generous spirit.
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy in her passing,
Don and Jessie Long

Dear Horton Family,
Just read about Nancy. Cyn and I remember Nancy fondly. Many good times were shared. Never forget our pinochle evenings, trips to the Mt. Carmel Elks, family fun at the Social Club, and our yearly bus trip to Atlantic City.
Great lady. She will be in our thoughts and prayers.
I’ll bet right now she and Earl are sitting side by side in Heaven looking down and keeping an eye on all of us.
Respectfully,
Ted and Cyn Andrewlevich

Dear Pam, Tim, and Chris,
I have many happy memories of your Mother. Some of my favorite are during the days she worked with my Mother-in-Law, Ethel Schmid. They were a pair! She was so much fun to be with — quick witted and delightful. We were so lucky to have your parents move to Hempfield and spend many years of service to the community. I miss them both.

I worked with Nancy several years when she was with the Early Intervention program at the IU. She was a wonderful colleague and was fantastic with chill families that she visited. She was a professional through and through along with a very caring person. What a fabulous combination.
I shall miss her but am gratified to have known her as a fellow worker and friend. We shared many laughs around our lunch time “round table”. Peace and comfort to you Suzanne and your family. She spoke often of you and Pam and Tim.

What a wonderful woman, Nancy Horton. I had the priviledge of living next to her for only a few years until her illness took her to assisted living but we shared laughs, home-made treats and meals together. She had a heart of gold ! I will always cherish those memories.

Your mother is now comfortable and at peace with your dad. I enjoyed exercising in the pool with your mom at the Mennonite Home. I believe we talked the entire time reminiscing Hempfield and her family. I thought about her often.
Fondly,
Nancy Smith, Hempfield/Landisville
