Nancy F. Bridges, 84

Nancy F. Bridges, 84, of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Lancaster General Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Millersville, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Boll) Ament. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Donald H. Bridges, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2014.
Nancy graduated from Penn Manor High School. Earlier in life, she and her late husband owned and operated the Twin Bridges Inn in Denver. She also worked for the Lancaster Press for many years in the bindery division. After retiring, and up until two years ago, she worked part-time for Rutter’s Dairy, where she simply enjoyed the interaction with the customers.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Nancy is survived by her daughter, Debbie Rankin and her husband Art of Millsboro, DE, and her son, Kelly Bridges and his wife Barbara of Ephrata. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Bridges; two grandchildren, Amanda Ziedonis and her fiancée Ryan Quinn, and Stacey Benedict and her husband Dan; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Desi, Haydn, Ethyn, Conner, Caleb, Abel and Reign; and her sister, Dorothy Schopf of Millersville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Scot Bridges, and her brother, Jim Ament.
Nancy’s final resting place will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

To Deb and all of the family my thoughts and prayers are with you. Nancy was a wonderful person and I am glad I had the pleasure of knowing her. She is at peace now with her husband Don. She will live on through all your memories of her.
