Mychaela Donnelly Parmer, 20

November 24, 2018

Mychaela Donnelly Parmer, 20, of Lancaster went home to be with the Lord after a motor vehicle accident Saturday, November 24, 2018. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Joel M. Parmer, of West Virginia, and Kelly (Donnelly) Pabon, wife of Alex, also of Lancaster. Mychaela was greatly loved and cherished by all of her parents, family, and friends.
She was a 2016 graduate of Hempfield High School where she was involved in the Hempfield chorus and was a part of the stage crew for many of the plays and Dance Theatre. She was a Girl Scout since she was a young child and also loved to play softball and rugby.
Mychaela was a very caring and dedicated Resident Care Assistant for the Willow Valley Communities where she was surrounded by the nursing profession she truly loved. She had a contagious laugh and her smile could light up a room. She will be missed by all who knew her and came in contact with her.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, William and Sherry Parmer, of Lancaster; maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Karen Donnelly, of Landisville; half-sister, Elyse Parmer, of Denver, PA; great-grandmother, Margaret Parmer, of Leola; and uncle, Josh Parmer, husband of Holly, of Lancaster. Also surviving are Alex’s parents, Jose and Pearl Pabon, of Lancaster, who were very influential in Mychaela’s life along with an extended loving family and many friends.
A Celebration of Mychaela’s life will be held at 4PM on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends and family will be received from 2-4PM prior to the service. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Mychaela’s memory to UNICEF, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038 or to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

I can still remember getting ready with you on the day your Uncle Josh married my sister, Holly and remember how you loved the color pink. One of the best memories I have is a video of you singing happy birthday to your cousin, Anna, last year. What was so special about you, is that you were someone who seemed wiser than your years and you never made fun others. May God bless you and hold you tight.

Wow I still cannot believe you’re truly gone. God took you away from us too soon! You would have made a great mother and wife. I’ll never forget the memories we made in Girls Scouts and playing flag football at Hempfield. You will be missed and I’m sad I cannot make it to your funeral. Love you and fly high!
