Mina Lois Rostolsky

Mina Lois Rostolsky, 79, passed away unexpectedly at her Lancaster residence on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Ruth (Edwards) Goodhart. Lois shared 51 years of marriage with her husband, Maurice Alvin Rostolsky, whom she met when he was 4 years old.
She graduated from J. P. McCaskey High School, Class of 1961. She worked as the Development Coordinator for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, handling their programs and events. Lois’s favorite event was the Art Accord.
Lois had a love for animals, especially her dogs and cats and she volunteered with Helping Hands for Animals. She enjoyed hosting groups of people and making fantastic meals for them. An accomplished seamstress, Lois sewed her own clothes. She enjoyed travelling to Key West and many cruises. She loved Bermuda. One of her highlights was a wonderful trip to Ireland with Stephanie and Matt.
In addition to her husband Maurice, Lois is survived by her daughters, Lynn, wife of John Fischer of Lancaster and Stephanie Rostolsky, companion of Matthew Becker of Lancaster; her son Marcus Rostolsky of Ocala, FL; granddaughter Jessica Fischer of Lancaster, and great-granddaughter Skye Fischer. Lois was preceded in death by her brother Terry E. Goodhart.
Private interment will take place at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Mina’s name to the Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center, 848 S. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.

My deepest condolence goes out to the entire family. Lois Rostolsky was a staple in my life during my school years as I was close friends with her daughter Stephanie. It is hard to see this obituary.
I hope the family can find some form of comfort during this time if great loss.
