Mildred “Dolly” Smith Oberholtzer, 91

Mildred “Dolly” Smith Oberholtzer, 91, of Lancaster and formerly of Harrisburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Brethren Village. Dolly was the daughter of the late David and Lila (Ramsey) Smith. She was the loving wife of William Oberholtzer, with whom she celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Dolly graduated in 1943 from John Harris High School and worked at Bell Telephone Co. during the war years and later worked for Sears. She was a member at Zion Lutheran Church in Harrisburg and later joined the Penbrook United Church of Christ. Dolly was devoted to her family and enjoyed bowling and travelling.
In addition to her husband, William, Dolly is survived by her son Michael Oberholtzer, husband of Kathy, of Lititz; her granddaughter, Amy Fair, wife of Terry, of Texas; step-grandchildren: Bill and Jennifer Logan; and step great-grandchildren: Kyla, Calista, William, Danielle, Cole, and Derrick. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Oberholtzer and two siblings: Dorothy Blazi and William Smith.
Memorial Services for Dolly will be held at 2PM, on Monday, March 14, 2016, at Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606. Family and friends will be received from 1-2PM. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Dolly’s name be made to the Benevolence Fund of Brethren Village, at the above address or to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
