I am greatly saddened to hear that Mike passed. He was my co-worker at Sand Dollar realty on the Cape and also a personal friend. He was always there in an instant with a smile if I needed a friend’s ear. Mike came to my house for holiday dinners and was very well liked by all. He had a deep love for his family and for his friends back home, he loved to chat about the good ol’ days. Mike’s family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Kim Batta, Cape Cod

I have not seen Mike since High School, but many fond memories of him are stored. As good an athlete as he was, he was an even better person. Mike was most certainly one of the good guy’s. God Bless the entire Turner Family in this sad time. R.I.P. Steve Mellinger. JPM ’77

My condolences to all who loved Mike. I am very saddened by this. So many memories . . . from Burrowes and scouts and little league to Lincoln and JPM and even some post-college gatherings. Rest in peace, Mike. You will truly be missed.

Mike and I shared Mr. Whitmore’s homeroom for 3 years at J.P. Mcaskey. It was a great way to begin each day with John Trump, Val Valentino and Pete Underhill… I remember Mike loving photography and football, although probably not in that order! He was a gentle person who was always there for his friends. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his children and family.

Mike was a 1976 J.P. McCaskey classmate of mine. His mother and my mother in law were card club buddies. What a great guy. We would catch up at our class reunions and I will cherish a picture we have together at our last reunion. Thinking of you all and wishing you comfort and peace.
