Michael P. Farbo, 84

Michael P. Farbo, 84, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in St. Michael, PA, he was the son of the late Michael S. and Catherine (Malosky) Farbo. Michael was the loving husband of Betty A. (Finnegan) Farbo with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Michael graduated from Windber High School in 1947. A veteran, he served in the United States Army. Michael retired as a machine operator after 35 years of service with Hamilton Watch Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed doing many activities.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Betty, are two sons: Michael G. Farbo, husband of Darlene, of Pequea, and James P. Farbo, husband of Patty, of Ephrata; 7 grandchildren: Sarah, Aaron, Zebulah, James, Laura, Mariah and Mikah; two brothers, Joseph and Arthur Farbo of Windber, PA; and a sister, June Makin of Windber, PA.
Michael was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Frances Antolosky, Thomas Farbo, Ralph Farbo, Raymond Farbo, Charles Farbo and David Farbo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Interment will be at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Please OMIT flowers, contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the Memorial & Gift Program for the Carl Barckhoff Organ, ATT: St. Joseph Catholic Church, to the above address.
