Michael J. Owens, 54
January 04, 2024
Michael J. Owens, 54, of Lancaster, departed from this world on January 4, 2024. Born to the late Douglas M. Owens and Barbara Ransbottom, Michael was a man of laughter, hard work, and a heart full of silliness.
Michael dedicated many years of his life to the construction industry and served in the Marines for four years. His laughter was infectious, and he had an uncanny ability to bring joy to any room he entered. Michael’s gentle soul, easygoing nature, and warm personality endeared him to a wide circle of friends. He found solace and joy in the simplicity of life. He cherished moments spent hunting and fishing. The beach held a special place in his heart, offering him a retreat where he could unwind and appreciate the calming rhythm of the waves.
Michael is survived by his loving sister Margie Schafer and her husband Brian, brothers Douglas Owens Jr. and K.C Ransbottom, and stepbrother Jeff Skojec. His daughter Gracie, who held a special place in his heart, will deeply miss him.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the convenience of the family. As we bid farewell to a cherished soul, let us remember Michael J. Owens for the love he shared, the laughter he spread, and the warmth that will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
