Michael J. Casalini, 38

Michael J. Casalini, 38, of Lititz, PA died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Logansport, IN, he was the son of Joseph B. and Sue Cabiness Casalini of Logansport, IN. Michael was the husband of Lisa Casalini and they were married on August 18, 2000.

He was a 1989 graduate of Logansport High School in IN. He attended Manchester College for two years and graduated with honors from IU-PUI, Indianapolis, IN

Michael was store manager of Target in Exton, PA. He had worked for Target for 17 years. Outside of his dedication to work at Target, one could always count on Mike to be seeking new adventures for his family. His love for his family brought him many wonderful years of vacationing. The family’s most favorite destination was Aruba.

His love of sports was life long. Mike played baseball as a child. He was a successful wrestler at Logansport High School and at Manchester College. He loved to water ski and boat on Lake Manitou. Those years prepared him for all that he did with his children’s sports and activities. When it snowed, he always went out to play with Megan and Justin.

When in Logansport, he always made sure to visit the fire station, as he did when he was younger, now bringing his children each time.

Mike was the most wonderful husband, daddy, and son. He put others first at all times and could always be counted on to be there for anyone. He was the love of Lisa’s life and he was Megan’s and Justin’s best friend.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Lisa his son, Justin 8years old, and his daughter Megan 7 years old. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Sue Casalini, his sister, Elizabeth wife of James Loposser, nephew Joseph and two nieces, Sophia and Mia, maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Cabiness and paternal grandmother, Mary Casalini.

There will be a Christian Prayer Service at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 11:00AM with Rev Daniel Mitzel officiating. Friends may view at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM and on Wednesday from 10-11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Justin M. Casalini and Megan A. Casalini Memorial Fund, PNC Bank, 1 Crosswind Drive, Lititz, PA 17543. To send online condolences, please visit snyderfuneralhome. com

Casalini Family,
We are so deeply sorry about your loss. Words cannot explain how we feel. My brother and I worked with Mike @ the Target in Butler for a few years. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,
Shannon & Micheal Devore

Lisa, I am praying for you and your family.  We hope that you and the kids have the strength and support that you need at this time.  Mike was a very warm and sweet man.  I will miss seeing him on Wednesdays at the Gym.  He would stop by my desk every time with a protein shake in hand and chit chat.  I know that you adored him and always will.  If any couple looked like they are deeply in love it was the two of you.  Again, our prayers are with you and if I can do anything for you please know that you can always ask.

Sincerely,
Donna and Mike Boomsma and kids

To the Casalini Family,
We are so shocked and saddened to learn of Mike’s passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. You do not walk alone with your grief.  We pray for God to strengthen your faith.
We have many memories of Mike growing up in Logansport and the friendship he had with Scott.

Our love and prayers,
Tony and Jane Selvio

My heart goes out to your family.  I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Casalini’s passing.  I had Megan in kindergarten and got to know the family.  What a blessing it was for me to get to know such a wonderful family.  I am blessed that God put you all in my life, if just for a year.  I am sending hugs to Megan (a real bear hug!) and Justin and Mrs. Casalini as well.  Your family will be held close to my heart with prayers and thoughts.

Mrs. Kim Banzhof

To the Casalini Family –
Our heartfelt sympathy to you all. Life is not fair. God will give you the strength to get through this devastating loss – the prayers of many are with you. Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time.

Lisa, Justin and Megan-Words truly can not express my deepest sorrow for your family.  My prayer for you is that you find peace in God’s strength and remember the precious times that you shared with your husband and father.  Though words are not enough, I pray that you feel comfort and eventually find peace.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love,

Lisa and Family,
My heart goes out to you. No words can express how sorry I am for your loss.

Dear Joe, Sue, Liz, Lisa and children . . from my family to yours,
our hearts and hugs go out to you in this horrible time of shock and grief.  You are blessed to have the support of family and friends.  We are all within arms reach.
Much love,
Cheryl Reid Callahan, Cara Cuppy Littlefield & family

Lisa and Family: You will probably be bombarded with people from Logansport on here that you may have never met and am sorry to have been in touch under these circumstances. Mike was a childhood and lifelong friend and words will never do justice what a great person he was. I am just sorry my wife and I never knew you guys were so close to us in Jersey – we would have had a ball together and I always loved hearing Mike’s infectious burst of laughter when something cracked him up. I am a firm believer in whatever religion you choose, that things unfold and happen for a reason. This is one of those crazy unexplainable ones, except for the fact that all of the good ones are chosen before we would like to see them go.
God bless~

I would like to send condolences to Mike’s family.  I too grew up with Mike from Daniel Webster throughout high school.  I totally agree that he was truly a wonderful person and always had a smile for everyone.  I am sending thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends, and very saddened to hear of his death.  Someone has a great plan for him, and we have lost a wonderful classmate.  Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

I am wishing the family my deepest condolences with your loss.
I have many great memories of Mike from our time with Target on the East Coast. He will be missed greatly by all.
