Michael E. “Mikey” Salm, Jr., 38

Michael E. “Mikey” Salm, Jr., 38, of Manor Twp., passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Michael E. Salm, Sr., husband of Grace and Diane M. Salm, partner of Norbert Strassmann, both of Lancaster.
He was a 1998 graduate of Penn Manor High School and received his certificate from the Thompson Institute in Wildlife Forestry Conservation. Mikey was very respectful to mother nature and all of creation.
He is also survived by his sister, Carrie A., wife of Jim Lawson, Jr., of Lititz; two nieces, Isabelle L. Lawson, Edan J. Lawson, both of Lititz, maternal grandmother, Betty Huegel and a host of loving aunts, uncles and many cousins.
A Celebration of Mikey’s Life will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Bethany EC Church of Creswell, 1165 Letort Rd, Conestoga, PA 17516. Family and friends will be received at the church from 9AM-10AM. Interment is private. Flowers will be received; contributions in Michael’s memory may also be made to the Sierra Club, 2101 Webster St, Suite 1300, Oakland, CA 94612.

So sorry to hear , our hearts❤️ Share your loss , Tom fell asleep in death 10 months ago , our family lived in your neighborhood in Perth Hills development, Justin went to school with Mickey at Letort, they were school buddies, we have a childhood picture of the boys together, we look at the pictures from time to time , we will remember him in our prayers. He was always there with an open heart, and a helping hand ready to do what he could. He was the most kind and loving soul I’ve ever met and worked hard for what he wanted. I am so glad and so blessed to have called him my friend. My love, thoughts and prayers are with everyone whose hearts are breaking during this time. May his memory be eternal.
