Michael D. Shotzberger
Michael D. Shotzberger, 78, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Lois W. (Diehm) Shotzberger. Michael was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Burkholder) Shotzberger with whom he recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Michael attended Warwick High School, but lived for farming and was a partner at Shotzberger Farm Equipment of Elm until 1983. He went on to work for Messick’s Inc. until he retired at the age of 65.
Of the Lutheran Faith, Michael attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lititz. He loved attending auctions and took great interest in farm equipment. He belonged to the Manheim Masonic Lodge No. 587 F&AM. He also served as past president of the Penn-Elm Lions. He spent a few years helping to coach youth baseball and was an all-around Philadelphia sports fan. However most important to Michael was his family.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his daughter, Bethany Leister, wife of Timothy, of Lititz and his son, Timothy Shotzberger, of Towson, MD; four grandchildren: Emma and Lauren Leister, and Wade and Addy Shotzberger; and a brother, Gary Shotzberger, husband of Susan, of Stevens.

Dear Barb, you have my deepest condolences. I have many great memories of Mike, to Gary and me, Mike was always the “the little guy ” at the get-togethers. But we had great times together at Ma and Pa’s house. He will be missed. You have my love and sympathies. Please let me know if you need anything.
