Mary Lee Yeiser, 79

Mary Lee (Kreider) Yeiser, 79, of Quarryville, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Hacker) Brown.

Mary Lee graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School in 1962. She was a valued employee as a secretary at Wohlson and Simeral Construction Co. She was raised Methodist and known as a devoted animal lover, especially to her dogs. She was a nurturing caregiver to all of her loved ones, predeceased by her companion of 8 years, Ben Witmer, Sr.

The Family extends gratitude toward Cindy Thatcher and David Witmer for the caregiving of Mary Lee on Ben’s behalf.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra A. Kuhns and granddaughter, Madelyn Kuhns.

Per her wishes, Mary Lee selflessly donated her body to Humanity Gifts for medical research.

May your rest be as soft gentle and sweet  like your voice. This nephew will always remember you as someone who was beautiful had a beautiful heart a career woman a single mom a great aunt and later in life take over the roll of Grandma well I guess grandma has all her babies home now. Her nephew that remembers you were always dressed to the tea you always had the newest cars top models I wouldn’t know Carol King or James Taylor or Neil diamond was if it was for you I also wouldn’t have a lifelong fear of poodles thanks to Pepe and Babette. Heaven definitely got a little bit more beautiful miss you Aunt Lee. your favorite nephew O’Malley

I enjoyed working with Mary for numerous years, she excelled at her job in providing support, added humor to the office, and made a delicious egg and olive sandwich.  Thank you to those who surrounded her and cared for her in her last days.
