Mary K. Kopp, 90
October 15, 2014
Mary K. Kopp, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Conestoga View. Born in Manor Township, she was the daughter of the late Christian K. and Irene Mae (Derfler) Kopp.
Mary worked many years in quality control at Kerr Glass and then part time at John Herr’s Village Market. Because of her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, she served as a Sunday school teacher for young children and as a Deaconess in her church.
Earlier in life she enjoyed fishing with her father and brothers and helping to tend her brother’s vegetable garden. Mary enjoyed shared family times with her siblings and their families. She also enjoyed walking. She made beautiful cross-stitch pictures and crocheted afghans. Driving her car on vacation trips, especially to Williamsburg, gave Mary great pleasure.
Mary is survived by her sister Helen R. Kopp of Evergreen Estates and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
