Our deepest sympathy to you on the passing of your Mom, Janelle. It was our honor & pleasure to have known her and to count her among our friends. She was the very first person from Kingswood to visit us after we had gone to church for the first time, way back in 1959. Our prayers are for your peace and comfort at this very trying time.

Dear Eric, Carol, Tom and everyone,
Please know that I am thinking of all of you as you walk through this time and process all there is to process. I send my love and wishes from my heart that all of you find comfort and strength in one another. Janelle will be missed by me.
Much Love,
Amy Joseph
I am so sorry to hear of Janelle’s passing. I knew her for most of my life as my Mom’s best friend and neighbor for so many years. I loved visiting with her and she always made me feel special. She was always doing for others. I know she will be missed by many. May you feel God’s peace and comfort as you grieve her loss.
My love,
Susan Cooke Golden
Dear Carol,
Susan forwarded your email telling of your mother’s on going. Gosh, this sounds so much like our dad who never recovered from mom’s death and just wanted to join her! Your parents were an amazing couple and such good friends to our parents; so kind to Susan and I. They loved each other so much and it’s understandable that your mom just didn’t want to live without her beloved husband.
I hope you’re doing ok! For me, even now, I just want to pick up the phone and share good things that are happening! But then, I remind myself that they know already! They are in heaven rejoicing with their Heavenly Father and knowing what’s going on here on earth.
I trust that God is being your comfort and the comfort for your kids and grandchildren!
With hugs here from Pennsylvania.
Sincerely
Nancy
We have known Janelle and David since they have moved to Lancaster. We are also members of Otterbein UM Church and we became acquainted with them at Otterbein when they were sitting beside us at a church dinner. We are also residents of Woodcrest Villa and were quite friendly with both of them.
We are sorry of their passing but now they are together again in their final resting place. We will miss them dearly. They were a delightful couple to know.
Our Sympathy & Prayers,
Jim & Jennie Herrold
Carol, we were so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Your Mom and Dad were a special couple. We were so upset when they left the Newark area and moved to PA. Your Dad was the choir director of my daughter’s choir when she was a young girl and I remember your Mom sitting up front across the aisle from the Cooke’s. What I remember most about your Mom was her smile and she always looked so nice and was so kind to everyone. You can get comfort knowing that she and your Dad are together now. I know they will be missed by all who knew them.

To the Family of David & Janelle,
We received a Christmas card this year 2012 that told us of the passing of your mother and our friend Janelle. We had heard about your dad sometime back and were saddened to hear the news. But to hear your mom also passed was news and I am sorry this note is coming so late. We know that you will greatly miss them both. What a gracious lady and such a wonderful personality. My husband, Jerry DeVine was pastor at Kingswood for a time in mid 1980s. Your dad was choir director and they lived down the street from us. They always had delightful stories and wonderful food in the kitchen. They live fondly in our memories. Blessings of peace to you.
