Condolences to the Family

To Fred and Mary’s family- some Public Health folks caught up with others recently. I was Fred’s coworker when he started at 1105 Herr St in Harrisburg, and Bill Reist was our supervisor. We remember Fred telling us Mary was not sure the test tubes with blood he had collected should go in her refrigerator.  Lots of time passed and we should have been more aware of friends and colleagues. His career with GSK affirms his decision to leave the VD field. Sorry for the loss of your parents.

Dear Arnold Children & Grandchildren,

I was in Arizona for several weeks and in reading my collected newspapers upon my return I  discovered your Mom’s passing.  She was a wonderful lady and a super co-worker who brought her considerable people skills and good humor to the staff and residents at Murry Communities as well as being a great friend.  We all had some memorable moments with her and your Dad as well.  I’m grateful she was a part of my life.  Know you all will miss her but she left a great legacy of love with all of you.

Sincerely in sympathy.

Dear Freddie, Phil, Christy and family,
We are so very sad to learn of Mary’s passing.  She and Fred were  good and wonderful friends; we have so many treasured memories of our time together, the dinners celebrating New Years Eve, trips to st. Michael’s, Ireland (with all of you) and England.  We will miss Mary but know she is in a wonderful place, laughing with Fred right now.  I know she’d tell you “Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die”.   She lives on in all of you.
with love,
Al and Molly

We’ll miss you, Mary. You were a lovely lady, inside and out. You left a multitude of happy memories for your children and grandchildren, and for extended family like me. You made me feel like part of the family from the first time we met, and you graciously shared your grandchildren with me.  I’ll see you again someday, Mary.
Love,
