Marlene Sue Leed, 65

Marlene Sue Leed, also know as Nanny, 65, of Lancaster, passed away December 31, 2022. She was born to the late Robert and Gladys Leed and was a graduate of the Solanco Highschool. Marlene worked more than 15 years as a preschool teacher, spent time working for the Bowman Hat Company, and was a housekeeper.
Marlene loved nature and taking care of plants. She loved to thrift shop and was talented at repurposing the things she found into something useful. She also put effort and care into her hair. Marlene was young at heart and carefree. More than anything Marlene loved her family unconditionally. She was always there to support them and help them when they needed her. She will be greatly missed by the ones she loved so dearly.
Left to treasure her memory is her partner William Holland, with whom she spent 33 years with; her children Anthony Munoz husband of Brenda, Kasey Leed wife of Reggie, and Stephanine Minnick all of Lancaster; her step-children Nathan Holland (Anna) of York, William Holland Jr. of Harrisburg, and Cory Holland of Lancaster; 24 grandchildren; and her siblings Rockford Leed husband of Rose, Polly Specht, Raymond Leed, Arlene Eckenroth wife of Richard, Darlene Kocher, Robert Leed, Lena Addams, Kathlene Devonshire wife Gary, and Roger Leed Sr. husband Janice. Along with her parents she is preceded by her siblings Richard Leed, Roseline Leed, and her infant sister Roberta.
A funeral service will be held January 9, 2023, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, at 10AM with burial at Rothsville Lutheran Cemetery to follow. Family invites guest to a viewing one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations for Marlene’s funeral service made be made to Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street PA.

Today is January 14 2023.l just got the bad news , Marlene has passed away, my best friend, we had so many memories together. So much in common. My prayers go out to her beautiful family’ that she Loves so much. Marlene .am so sad to know that in my heart I will miss you so much. We really did have our laughs together. Marlene and I went to school together – we reconnected over social media and I was so glad to “chat” with her occasionally.  She loved her family for sure and had a great sense of humor – I know she’ll be missed by many.  Sending lots of hugs and love to all.

I would like to give my condolences to Marlene’s family πŸ™ she was one of my neighbors from Prince Street .  She was a kind hearted person and she was the best friend to my daughters grandmother Mary Ethel Mattis. Her son Anthony was just a baby at the time I can see it like it was yesterday. πŸ₯° now Marlene is up there in heaven with Mary Ethel may she rest in peace πŸ˜‡πŸ™β€οΈ Joan Demora

To all of Marlene’s family my deepest condolences.  My heart was truly saddened by the news of her passing.  It’s been awhile I last seen Aunt Marlene at Aunt Kathy’s 60th birthday party.  We had such a great time catching up.  We had so much in common.  I’m sure she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
