Condolences to the Family

Mark was my childhood best friend.  I have thought of him often through the years.  I don’t think I’ve seen him since his father’s funeral service and I’m saddened by that.  I am shocked and saddened by his passing….I will miss you Mark but I still have all our memories (and there are many!) of the many things we saw and did from childhood into early adulthood.  God bless you my friend.  I will never forget your or your family!

We will always remember Mark for having a generously giving spirit; he would do anything for someone regardless of the personal cost to him. We are deeply sorry for the family’s loss and will be praying for strength for them in the days ahead.
In loving memory,

I am saddened to hear of Mark’s passing! He was a really kind person and always had something interesting to talk about. We talked often during Ensemble at LCBC and it was evident that he LOVED Jesus! He had a great voice and was really dedicated to the Ensemble. My heartfelt condolences to Deb and his family. Our prayers are with you.

I served with Mark when I sang on the LCBC Vocal Ensemble and of course, he was a staple on the traffic team. He was always ready with a helping hand and a funny joke. His Christmas hat collection was stellar! However, what I think I’ll miss most about Mark is his passion to connect unconnected people to Jesus. This was his calling and it was evident in everything he said and did. We had baptism this past weekend and his solitary “Amen” after each story was one of the things that was missing. But I know he has entered glory and is singing and praising with the saints! God bless you, Mark. Well done, good and faithful servant.

Heaven will never be the same…with the Stoughton men there.  Whqt fun and fond memories we have of them.  We really learned from them, the joys of serving Jesus.  Life will not be the same without Mark being here….but what is our loss is heaven’s gain.  Sending our sincere condolences to Mark’s entire family.  Lee and Lynn Wolfe

A wonderful, kind, generous, loving man always willing to help others. He reminded me of a true Christian, always doing what Jesus would do.I don’t believe I ever had a conversation with him that the Lord wasn’t mentioned. He walked the walk and I am blessed to have known him. My condolences to Deb and his family.

A wonderful memory I have of Mark is him rupturing into song at his father’s, Pastor Howard Stoughton, graveside funeral in his beautiful strong voice and soon over a hundred voices joined him singing! Now they can sing praises together to our Lord and Savior and King of Kings!! What an Eternity of Praise to look forward too! “When We all Get to Heaven, What a Day of Rejoicing That Will Be!” I can still hear him singing it and all joining him! Wonderful memory! May God comfort you all and give His Peace.

So sorry for your loss. I am praying for the family.  I remember Mark and the kids visiting Fellowship Baptist Church in Maryland and I admired his love for the Lord.  May the warm happy godly memories warm your hearts during this trying time.  May God wrap His loving arms around you and keep close to Him and comfort you..
