Mark Anthony Dodson, 49

Mark Anthony Dodson, 49, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, May 19, 2006.  He was the son of the late Samuel R. Dodson, Sr. and Janet Braas Dodson.  Mark was the loving husband of Amanda D. Domalewski Dodson, and adoring father of Janessa Marie, 15, Nicholas Anthony, 11 and Aaron Mark, 2.

A devoted husband and father, Mark also enjoyed the closeness of extended family.  He could always be found with children around him.  Mark enjoyed reading, vacationing with family, and the outdoors.

He was a master craftsman, working thirty years as a self employed contractor.  His artistic craftsmanship can been witnessed all over Lancaster.

In addition to his wife and children, Mark leaves behind two brothers and a sister; Samuel R. Dodson, Jr., married to Regina, and their children Ryan, Thomas and Paul of Lititz; Michael D. Dodson, Sr., married to Patricia, and their children Meridith, Melanie and Michael, Jr., of Lancaster; and Diana Marie Dodson of Lancaster; life-long family friend Beth Miller; and grandniece Olivia Cover.  He will be sorrowfully missed.

Friends may call at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday evening, May 23 from 7-9 pm, with a Christian Prayer Service held at 8:30 pm.  Friends may call again at the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning , May 24  from 9-10 am.  Mark was a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at there on Wednesday, May 24 at 11 am. The church is located at 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA. Interment will be private.
