Marion (Larkin) Keyser, 88

May 07, 2018

Marion (Larkin) Keyser passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at the age of 88 years after a brief illness.
Born in Delaware Co. PA, she was the wife of the late Jesse Keyser, and daughter of the late Marion and Wilfred Larkin.
She is survived by her children Janice (Henry) Brown, Brian (Jane), Deborah (Keith) Graver, and David (Raquel). She will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Logan, Katie, Chet, Bryce, Addison, & Owen. She was preceded in death by her sisters Florence Lewis & Joan Bowker.
Marion graduated from Ridley Township High School where she excelled at sports, and attended Moore Institute of Art, Science and Industry. She worked for Westinghouse and the School District of Lancaster, where she was able to use her creative energies.
She had a passion for life. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and especially enjoyed being a grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved being involved in her children’s activities. She volunteered as a Judge of Elections, and for various organizations including the Welcome Wagon, the Lancaster Woman’s Club, the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, the Booster Club at Manheim Township High School, and the Swim Club at Skyline.
Marion was an active member of her church where she was a partner in the Prayer Group, served as a Deacon, and was a longtime member of the Chancel Choir for which she produced “The View from the Loft” newsletter and served as its treasurer. She enjoyed performing in their many choral concerts both locally and overseas.
She enjoyed designing, sewing, drawing, painting, arts and crafts, counted cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, computing, genealogy, reading, sports, playing cards, golf, and she especially enjoyed summers at the beach with her family, where she loved sitting on the beach, riding her bike and soaking in God’s awesome creation.
A visitation with Marion’s family will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, May 19 at Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 East Roseville Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. A Service of Remembrance will be held there at 11:30 am, followed by a private burial service at the Highland Presbyterian Memorial Garden.
