Marina Soukas, 83

Marina, age 83, formerly of Lancaster, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully, Thursday February 14, 2019 at Bryn Mawr Terrace Nursing Home. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Nick Treephos and the late Lemonea (Fotis) Treephos. Her family relocated to Lancaster in 1945.
Marina was a graduate of McCaskey High School and worked for 30 years as the personal secretary to local attorney, Theodore L. Brubaker. Marina went on to be the information and referral specialist for the Lancaster County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, now known as Compass Mark.
Marina was a faithful member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Marina also served as a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Information and Referral Specialists. She was an avid reader and traveled extensively. Marina loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Helen, wife of Sam Vasiliades of Havertown, Pennsylvania. Marina was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Dan J. Soukas. Additionally, she is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30AM with a funeral service beginning at 10:30AM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603. The service will be officiated by Father Hector Firoglanis. Marina will be laid to rest at The Lancaster Cemetery.
