Marie (Bowder) Sanderson, 56

July 19, 2024

Marie (Bowder) Sanderson, 56, of Lititz, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2024.

Marie was raised by her grandparents, Clair and Arlene Becker. She was a 1986 graduate of Warwick High School. Over the years she worked at IU-13 as an assistant aide and for the Lititz Police Department as a civilian police aide. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her 3 children and the best Mimi ever. She had a great passion for music, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved spending time on the beach. Time with her girlfriends was a memory she always treasured. She had the biggest and most compassionate heart that her family and friends will sorely miss.

Marie is survived by her 3 children: Brianna Bulett, Holly Sanderson, and AJ Sanderson; 2 grandchildren: Preston Rhodey and Raylon Rowe; grandmother Arlene Becker, and former husband James Sanderson.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 1-3 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St, Lititz, PA 17543. A service will begin at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Marie’s name to Humane PA Lancaster Campus, 2195 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Condolences to the Family

July 31, 2024

Growing up Marie, me,and my sis Stephanie would always be trying to figure out what trouble we could get into during family gatherings. Marie was the best at coming up with the next fun thing the cousins could do!
Although I had not seen her since we were young, I will always remember her as my partner in crime !! Love to Arlene and family and Marie, wish you peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. My first thought, I am grateful she knew Jesus. My second thought brought a smile. Marie was always friendly and joyful. I can hear her infectious laugh 38 years later.

Marie was a great friend.  I am sorry that, you the family, are going through this at this time.  She will be missed by many. She loved with her whole heart and was so caring and wore her heart on her sleeve for all to see.  I will miss her terribly.  I take comfort in how well she knew the Lord.  Till I see you again my friend.
