Margaret Klopfle, 72

Margaret Klopfle, 72, of Millersville, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Anna (Graf) Smith. She was married for 48 years to Lawrence G. Klopfle before his passing in 2014.
A homemaker, she loved her family and always took care of others before herself. Margaret will be greatly missed. She enjoyed word games, puzzles and thrift and antique shopping.
She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. When living in Philadelphia Margaret was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, where she did housekeeping in the Rectory and Convent.
Surviving Margaret are her son Lawrence Klopfle, Jr., husband of Elysa, her daughter, Heather, wife of Jeffrey Joniec and her three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason and Zoey Joniec, all of Millersville. Also surviving are her siblings William Smith, Marie Saloma and Helen Guarrieri, lifelong friend Dolores Fricker and her beloved cats Clara and Max. Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters Catherine Kurfuerst and Maryann Nentwig.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603, with The Rev. Bernardo Pistone as Celebrant. Friends will be received one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 848 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.

Marge was a very special friend with a kind heart and a quiet grace. She and Larry and their children and grandchildren have blessed me with kindness and acceptance and friendship. Gifts that are eternal. Thank you, Marge. I will truly miss you.
