Margaret G. Kauffman, 92

Margaret G. Kauffman, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015.
She was born to the late Frank and Elizabeth Begala Quino.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.
Margaret was married to Patrick J. Kauffman, who preceded her in death in 2009. They were married on November 19, 1941 and enjoyed sixty-seven years together.
She attended Lancaster Catholic High School and worked as a cashier and “window dresser” prior to her marriage. Her many interests included sewing, baking, and flower gardening. Margaret also volunteered at St. Anthony during school lunch and later at St. Leo in the library and with CCD instruction.
Margaret was preceded in death by her son Joseph T. Kauffman and is survived by her son Patrick J. Kauffman, husband of Vicenta of Ephrata; daughter Margaret Hart of Marietta; daughter Eva Benner wife of Paul of New Castle, DE; daughter Anne Helm of York and son Jeffrey Kauffman husband of Joyce of Manheim; 7 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and John, and sisters Rose Lucks, Julia Bowers, Mary Bitts, Lena Darrenkamp, Anne Rebman, and Elizabeth Stauffer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11AM with the Rev. Peter Hahn as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Flowers will be received or contributions may be made in Margaret’s memory to St. Leo The Great Catholic School at the above address.
