Margaret F. Adams, 82

Margaret F. Adams, 82, of Lititz, passed away, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Sturgills, NC., she was the daughter of the late Claude and Pearl (Sturgills) Roland. Margaret was the wife of Harry M. Adams with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage this past November 15th.

Margaret grew up in Kirkwood and played basketball in high school. She worked for many years at Lancaster General Hospital and Lancashire Hall as a Nurses Aid. Margaret enjoyed spending time and caring for her family. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting, taking trips to the beach, and horse races. Margaret will be deeply missed by her family and friends whom she loved so much.

Surviving in addition to her husband Harry are 4 children; Lois Hess wife of Larry of Lititz, Marie Witt wife of Carl of New Providence, Karen Sowers wife of David of Lancaster, and Chuck Adams husband of Mary Anne of Naperville, IL.  13 grandchildren. 17 great grandchildren. And a sister.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz 17543 at 3 p.m. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home before the service from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
