Marcel J. Yankovich, 80

July 02, 2023

Marcel John Yankovich, 80, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Alexander) Yankovich. He was married for 43 years to his beloved wife Susan (Fisher) Yankovich, prior to her passing in 2020.

Marcel graduated from Kingston High School in 1960. He served honorably in the US National Guard before he was discharged in 1965. Marcel was the proud owner and operator of MJ Yankovich, Inc. for 40 years as a Dental Technician. In his free time, Marcel was an avid golfer and he also loved reading. He was fond of gardening and painting with acrylic and pastels. He will be remembered for his devotion and care that he provided to his wife, Susan, during her illness.

Marcel is survived by his son Martin A. Diamond (Debra), grandchildren Taylor A. and Zachary A. Diamond, and sister Catherine Cubelic. He was preceded in death by his brother John Yankovich.

The family of Marcel would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Oncology and Hospice staff for their care and support during his stay. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Debbie and Stephen Steele for their unwavering support during this time.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcel’s name can be made to American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
