Lucy Hernandez, 64

Lucy Hernandez, 64, of Lancaster, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Sixto H. Cruz and Flora Santiago.

A graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, she worked for Planned Parenthood, Office of Aging, , and most recently the Boys and Girls Club, where she retired. Lucy also served in the Army Reserves.

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Olivia Santiago; her sisters, Gladys Hernández, Aida Clark, and her brothers, Robert Hernández, and David Hernández.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her brother, José E. Hernández.

Services for Lucy have been entrusted to the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602 and will be private and at the convenience of the family. www.SnyderFuneralHome.com.

I will always remember Lucy’s laugh–she had the best laugh! The highlight of my day growing up was when she would stop in after work and talk to me on the porch. Although I have not seen her in many years, I will always treasure the memories I have of her. May she rest in peace and love.
