Lloyd G. Kreider, 86

Lloyd Groff Kreider, 86, of Lancaster and formerly of Esbenshade Road, Ronks, passed away at LGH on Thursday, September 06, 2018. He was the husband of Ruth (Deiter) Kreider for 50 years.

Born in Paradise Township, Lloyd was the son of the late Paul D. and Mary (Groff) Kreider. He is survived by two sons, Gerald Kreider and Gary married to Denise Kreider and three grandchildren, Janelle, Katrina and Michael.

Lloyd loved being a self-employed dairy farmer. He helped his neighbors in tobacco fields and when there was a barn fire. He also worked for Walter Rohrer dressing chickens and traveling to Philadelphia market, and at Esbenshade Turkey Farm.

In retirement, he kept busy working at the Old Candle Barn and cracked and sold walnuts during the winter.

Lloyd volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels for nine years. He enjoyed following and telling his friends about the weather.

He was a faithful member of the former Paradise Mennonite Church. He and Ruth recently attended Gordonville Bible Church. Lloyd would read the Bible each year.

There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Grace Point Church of Paradise, 8 South Singer Avenue, Paradise, PA. The family will greet friends after the service.

Interment in Paradise Mennonite Cemetery will be private.
