Linda R. Yost, 76
January 04, 2024
Linda R. Yost, 76, of Lancaster, PA received her wings on January 4, 2024, at LGH after a brief illness. She was welcomed into heaven by her Mother, Rose M. Smith and Father, Walter R. Yost, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who preceded her.
Linda was born January 12, 1947, in Lancaster. She graduated from Lancaster Catholic High and retired from the former Anderson Pretzel Bakery after 46 years of service. Linda most recently worked as an usher at the American Music Theater.
Linda will be remembered most for her loving heart, selflessness, and generosity. She always thought of those she loved most. Linda loved the Barnstormers, Notre Dame, golf, the beach, a good margarita, and great food. Linda leaves behind her beloved Lhasa Apso, Cody, and is now reunited with her other “little critters” Feisty, Raisin and Max.
Surviving are ‘Daughters’ Jamie Hower (Rob), Ashleigh Reynolds, and ‘Grandchildren’ Chase and Avery, who knew her as “Lala”. Lala loved Chase and Avery as much as her late best friend (and their grandmother), Cindy Trousdale and beamed with pride anytime she spoke about her “Chasey” and “Peanut”. Linda is also survived by her Aunt Mary Ann, Cousins Rick “Cuz” (Jackie), Deb, Jerry (Ann), Joe (Debbie) and Tony (Sharon); Linda’s closest friends, Cori Deckert, Louise Jones, Mike and Betsy Klos, Mike and Maryjane Sterner, her beloved neighbors and her co-workers at AMT.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. We ask, in lieu of flowers, to honor Linda by donating to the American Diabetes Association, local SPCA or Pet Pantry and to live life with generosity and fierce love, as Linda always did.

I’m in disbelief… I cannot believe I found about your depart just few hours ago. My heart aches… we were supposed to have an ice cream date and and later on the summer have a girls’ date. For the past weeks I have been looking to see if you were at the balcony or walking Cody… I have asked the kids if they have seen you and they have been wondering about you too 😢 today as I saw Bernard walking Tootsy, I stop him and asked about you… I wasn’t expecting to hear about your passing and Cody. You were an angel, the best neighbor. I’m going to miss crossing the street and sitting with you for our long talks and playing with Cody. Who am I going to buy flowers for? Who I will share the other half of the watermelon or take a plate of food so you could eat it later… Miss Linda, you will be remembered forever. We love you and will always be thankful for your support and unconditional love. Rest in Peace… my condolences to the family. You do not know me but I have seen the kids grow in pictures. I’m the neighbor across the street. Descansa en paz ❤️ 💐🕊️
