Lillie Mae Gochnauer, 92

Lillie Mae Gochnauer, 92, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her Lititz home on Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was born at Schaum’s Corner to the late Elmer and Grace (Weachter) Shreiner. Lillie’s husband of 63 years, Eugene C. Gochnauer, died in 2007.

A homemaker, early in life Lillie had worked at Thompsons Shirt Factory in New Holland and then Shore N Son in Brownstown, where she met Eugene before WWII. She enjoyed flowers, her cats and watching the animals and birds. Lillie loved family time, singing and family reunions.

Lillie is survived by her 4 children: Vicki L. wife of Alan Ingram, of Lititz, Judy A., wife of Michael Hibshman, of Stevens, Jean O., wife of Roy Garrett, of Pequea and David E. Gochnauer, husband of Shelly, of Lititz; 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Brickley of Annville, Kristen Sheaffer of Portland, OR, Megan Oberst of Parkville, MD, Devon Daymude of Falling Waters, WV and Michael Garret of Pequea; 6 great-grandchildren: Emily Brickley, Ruth, Noah and Lillian Oberst, Briar Daymude and Calvin Sheaffer; and 7 siblings: Evelyn Cammauf, Gloria Wolf, Jane Houser, Nancy, wife of Kenneth Fern, Elmer Shreiner, Jr., husband of Vera, Charles Shreiner and Richard Shreiner. Her sister Miriam Burkholder preceded Lillie in death.

A viewing will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral at 2:00 pm, with Chaplain Nilda Roman officiating, on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
