Lawrence V. “Larry” Zielinski, 83
June 17, 2025
Lawrence “Larry” V. Zielinski, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Mitchell and Jean (Kolada) Zielinski.
After graduating from Ohio University, Larry began his successful career in banking, motivated by his desire to help the community and local businesses.
An avid golfer, Larry found great joy in the sport, often spending his days on the greens or enjoying sun-soaked vacations at Hilton Head Island. He was a lifelong fan of Cleveland Indians/Guardians baseball and the Cleveland Browns. He shared his love of baseball by attending games with his family and listening to the games on the radio at family picnics and gatherings.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Larry was always the life of the party. One of his many gifts was the ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. The title he cherished most, however, was that of husband, father and grandpa. His family was the center of his life, and he took immense pride in every moment shared with his wife of more than 60 years, children and grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Karen (Brigadier) Zielinski; his loving children: Brian Zielinski (husband of Suzanne), Deanna Wyand (wife of Don) and Colleen Simpson (wife of John); his grandchildren: Emily, Allison, Danielle, Declan, Lauren, Caitlin, and Caroline; and his siblings: Linda Condry and Alan Zielinski (husband of Kathy).
In addition to his parents, Larry is proceeded in death by his mother and father in-law: Helen and Paul Brigadier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry’s honor and loving memory to the church.
